3 Tablespoons garlic powder
2 Tablespoons salt
2 Tablespoons ground black pepper
2 lb. Tri-Tip Roast
Preheat grill for high heat. In a bowl, combine garlic powder, salt and pepper. Mix together and coat both sides of Tri-Tip. Sear both sides 4-5 minutes on hot grill. Internal temp should be 125-130 degrees.
Remove from grill, cover loosely with aluminum foil and let rest for
5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain.
Pick up a bottle of Hirsch's California Zinfandel Tri-Tip Marinade and marinate overnight in a plastic bag before placing meat on the grill for cooking.
