Top Round Pot Roast

4 to 5 lb. top round roast
6-8 med. potatoes
6-8 carrots
4-6 white onions
2 cans mushroom soup
1 pkg dried onion or mushroom soup mix
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In large roasting pan place roast and cover with both cans of soup mix.  Pour in 3 soup cans of water.  Place whole potatoes (skin on) and peeled onions (whole or halved) around roast.  Place peeled carrots around on top of vegetables.  Season to taste.  Cover and cook 2-1/2 to 3 hours.
