1-1/4 Tbs smoked paprika
1 Tbs Kosher salt
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp onion powder
1 Tbs Italian herb seasoning
2 Tbs olive oil
1-3 lbs. Tri-Tip Roast
In a small bowl, mix the first six ingredients. Stir in the olive oil and allow the mixture to sit for
10 to 15 minutes.
Cover all sides of the tri tip with the rub mixture and allow to sit at room temperature for two hours.
Place roast in a baking pan sprayed with cooking spray. Roast in a 450 preheated oven for 20
minutes. Lower the temperature to 350 and cook for another 30 minutes or until internal temperature
of 145 degrees. Remove from oven, tent with foil and let sit 15 minutes before slicing.
