SCALLOPS WITH MUSTARD SAUCE

2 lbs. fresh Scallops
1 lb. fresh mushrooms, halved
1 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp butter or margarine
1 cup mayonnaise
¼ cup prepared mustard
½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese
Paprika

Arrange scallops in a steaming rack; place over boiling water.  Cover and steam 10 minutes.
Transfer scallops to a lightly greased baking dish; set aside.

Saute mushrooms and onion in butter until onion is tender; set aside.  Combine mayonnaise and mustard and pour over scallops.  Top with onion mixture; sprinkle with cheese and paprika. Broil 5 inches from heat 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is melted.
