OVEN BAKED CHICKEN PARMIGIANA

Ingredients:

¾ cup dry bread crumbs (panko)
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp salt

1 each egg beaten
4 each boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 jar Pasta Sauce (Hirsch’s)
4 slices Thumann’s mozzarella cheese
¼ cup shredded Parmesan

Directions:

In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and salt. In another bowl, beaten egg. Dip chicken in egg, then roll in crumb mixture.

Place in a 13-in x 9-in x 2-in baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 10 minutes each side.

Pour spaghetti sauce over chicken; bake for 5 minutes. Top with sliced mozzarella and shredded parmesan cheese. Bake 10 minutes longer or until chicken juices run clear.
